What is your AI story?

Since the founding of Messagepedia two years ago, this question has frequently been raised. We are now positioned to deliver a comprehensive response with the release of the latest version of Messagepedia software.
Given Messagepedia’s core commitment to data privacy and sovereignty, uploading user content to a cloud-based AI platform such as ChatGPT or Claude was not a viable option, despite the ease of doing so. Consequently, we undertook a thorough evaluation of available AI platforms and selected Llama, an open-source platform compatible with local deployment on users’ computers, for seamless integration with Messagepedia. This approach ensures our continued commitment to providing users with full control and privacy over their data.
Our next objective was to identify a clear use case for AI in Messagepedia. After engaging in discussions with current users, we established automating content summarization as our initial focus area. While content collaboration solutions generally provide a "content summary" metadata field for manual entry during file uploads, most users opt not to complete it due to the time required. Messagepedia addresses this challenge by automatically generating content summaries with AI upon file upload. Furthermore, these AI-generated summaries remain editable for accuracy and can be shared as metadata along with files by our users. For example, I was able to generate a summary of this blog post within seconds, refined it for accuracy, and shared it along with the post (as a Microsoft Word document) with colleagues for feedback, all within Messagepedia.
With a robust AI platform integration in place, Messagepedia is now ready for the AI era. We invite your suggestions regarding additional AI features you would like to see in the product.
